These replicate the gold U.S. Navy & Marine Aviator wings from WWII through the 1950s. There are several variations of this wing, font, and text placement from the period, but we chose to copy a common and beautiful version seen on many original examples. These wings are black leather with 3M Velcro Brand hook tape backing, to easily add or remove from your flight jacket or suit. Original WWII leather name tags were either black or brown leather, and usually sewn directly to the flight jacket. If you would like to sew directly to your jacket, carefully cut the stitching to remove the Velcro backing and then use the existing holes to guide your needle.
Custom stamped using the same hand-set, hot foil type dies, exactly as used over 50 years ago.
